Levitation Austin announces 2016 dates & initial lineup: Brian Wilson playing 'Pet Sounds,' Animal Collective, BJM & more

Dates and the initial lineup for the 2016 Levitation Festival have been announced. Formerly known as Austin Psych Fest, the three-day festival returns to Carson Creek Ranch from April 29 – May 1 and will feature Brian Wilson performing Pet Sounds, plus performances by Animal Collective, Flying Lotus, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Sleep, Lee Scratch Perry, Ty Segall, Black Mountain, and Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats. Lots more artists will be announced later but weekend passes, deluxe passes, camping passes, and camping rentals are on sale now. You can watch the lineup announce video below.

Meanwhile, Levitation will be in NYC for CMJ with a showcase at Rough Trade on October 17 featuring Ringo Deathstarr, Shannon and the Clams, Whitney, Cheatahs, Stealing Sheep, Murals, and Cloud Castle Lake. Tickets for that show go on sale today at noon.
