Miley Cyrus & The Flaming Lips played SNL, announce tour, Terminal 5 included (dates, videos)

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus released a collaborative album with The Flaming Lips over the summer, and last night (10/3) she brought them out to perform the Yoshimi-esque “Karen Don’t Be Sad” on the season 41 premiere of Saturday Night Live. She also played “The Twinkle Song” solo and, as she was hosting the show, she gave a monologue that included her singing a tribute to The Dentist Who Killed Cecil The Lion, That Twerp Who Raised The Price of AIDS Medication, Lenny Kravitz’s Junk, The Donut That Ariana Grande Licked and more of this summer’s important celebrities. Videos of all that, below.

Miley and The Flaming Lips also announced a tour together as Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, which hits six US cities in November and early December. One of those shows is in NYC, happening November 28 at Terminal 5. That’s a much smaller NYC show than when she played Barclays Center in 2013 with Sky Ferreira and Icona Pop. Tickets for the whole tour go on sale Wednesday (10/7) at 4 PM local time. All dates are listed below.

Next week’s SNL episode will be hosted by Amy Schumer, who has a couple big gigs of her own coming up.
