New Williamsburg venue National Sawdust is now open (take a look at some pictures), and this coming Tuesday (10/13) the Red Bull Music Academy will throw an event there. They’re calling it an “alumni-heavy night of flex beats, dance and rhymes” and here are the details:

We’re joining forces with Reggie “Regg Roc” Gray and his FLEXN dance crew to get a very special party started at Brooklyn’s new experimental music hotspot National Sawdust. The night will see four Academy alumni performing, while Regg Roc and his FLEXN crew improvise dances to them.

Expect dark rhythms, moody wordplay, and college horror-movie etiquette from Zebra Katz, alongside heavy-hitting beats and grimey edits by Nire, while Octo Octa brings in some left-footed house signatunes, and Jimi Nxir adds some more melodic and abstract elements to the plate.

Tickets for what sounds like a very interesting night in an interesting venue are on sale now.
