Bethlehem Steel releasing 'Docking,' playing shows, including Shea with Cold Sweats & more (dates, EP stream)

Bethlehem Steel

Brooklyn’s Bethlehem Steel play around the local DIY scene a lot (you may have caught their singer Becca Ryskalczyk at Shea over the weekend) and they’ve got a sound that a lot of bands in that scene do: crunchy, catchy indie rock. What sets them apart though is Becca’s voice, which pierces through the mix and also has a folky quality to it. Sometimes they sound like Angel Olsen fronting Weezer. The band’s new EP Docking, recorded with Nick Corbo of LVL UP and Crying at Shea Stadium and David Blaine’s The Steakhouse, comes out this Friday (11/6) via Miscreant Records, and we’re premiering a stream of the whole thing. Check it out below.

Bethlehem Steel have some more dates coming up, starting with a hometown show on Thursday (11/5) at Shea Stadium. It’s a co-release show with Cold Sweats, whose new album Social Coma also comes out this Friday via Six 3 Collective (stream a track at NPR). The rest of that bill is Rick from Pile, Outta Gas and Comfy. $8 at the door. More info here.

All dates are listed, with the EP stream and Shea show flyer, below…
