Career Suicide

Fucked Up are going on a “temporary hiatus” right now, but members are staying busy with other projects. Ben Cook released a new album with Young Guv and reignited his old hardcore band No Warning. And now Jonah Falco is reigniting his old hardcore band, Career Suicide (again).

Career Suicide haven’t released an album since 2006, but they’re working on changing that and just released the first song from it, “Cut and Run.” It’s a meaty, ripping slab of hardcore, and you can stream it below.

Jonah is also in the Toronto post-punk band Mercury Girls, who we mentioned happened to form at the same time as a Philly indie pop band called Mercury Girls (with members of Literature and Little Big League). That confusion is no more though; since we last spoke the Toronto band changed their name to Pavillion. If you haven’t heard it, you can stream their demo below.

Before going on hiatus, Fucked Up released Year of the Hare earlier this year. They’re also set to appear on The National’s upcoming Grateful Dead tribute album.
