The fourth annual Indie Pop Prom, which doubles as show curator Maria Sherman’s birthday party and brings together a lineup of mostly lady-fronted bands, happens February 26 at the recently reopened Market Hotel. (The last two were at Baby’s All Right). So far the lineup includes Swearin’ singer and Waxahatchee live member Allison Crutchfield and Epoch band Eskimeaux. There’s also WALL, who make pretty straight-up post-punk revival, and Pouty, a new punky pop band from Slutever’s Rachel Gagliardi. More bands TBA. Tickets are on sale now, and you save two bucks if you come in prom attire.

In related news, Radiator Hospital, who has collaborated multiple times with Allison Crutchfield including on stage at the second Indie Pop Prom, plays a NYC show with Pouty a few days before that. It’s a solo show for Rad Hos, and also features The Goodbye Party, Bong Wish and Crusher. It happens February 20 at Silent Barn and admission is $8 at the door.
