Big Eyes made a video for "When You Were 25," touring

As far as modern punk bands in the catchy, stripped-down, post-Ramones fashion go, Big Eyes are one of the best (and most underrated). Not just ’cause they’ve got the tunes, but also because if you’ve seen them live you know they’re one of the tightest bands doing this kind of thing. This past fall, they dropped the “Local Celebrity” b/w “When You Were 25” single on Don Giovanni, which was a great example of the kind of power they have. We’ve now got the premiere of the Brendan McKnight-directed video for the b-side, which has clips of Kait Eldridge and the rest of the band messing around and finding various ways to perform the song (like substituting a tennis racket for a guitar). Check it out below.
Big Eyes also kick off a tour soon, which begins in NYC on January 21 at Cake Shop with Nuclear Santa Claust and Simpler Times. Tickets for that show are on sale now.
