Quilt share "Roller" from new album, announce tour dates

Quilt‘s new album, Plaza, is out next month on Mexican Summer and is their best record yet, with top-to-bottom great songs, impressive musicianship, and an endless supply of clever little touches that make your ears prick up. One of my favorite songs on the album is “Roller,” that reminds me, in the verse, of the early, Paisley Underground days of The Bangles. It’s the chorus. though, that really gets me: pure gossamer harmonies and a killer bassline. Listen for yourself, below.

The Plaza release show at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right on March 2 (tickets) is the kickoff date of their just-announced tour which will have them on the road through April and includes a stop at Mexican Summer’s Marfa Myths fest in Texas. There’s also a SXSW-sized chuck of empty days in their tour schedule. All dates are listed below.
