Arctic Monkeys are here, played 'Colbert,' playing Forest Hills with Mini Mansions tonight

Arctic Monkeys are currently in NYC, and they’re about to begin another leg of their tour supporting this year’s great, loungey Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino. The tour picks back up at Queens’ Forest Hills Stadium tonight (7/24), and though the show was sold out, it looks like there are some tickets back on sale (and/or resale tickets available). That’ll be followed by an Upstate NY show at CMAC on Wednesday (7/25) (tickets).

Before returning to the concert stage, Arctic Monkeys played “The Ultracheese” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and frontman Alex Turner used the opportunity to show off his new shaved head. Watch below. The band also put out a video for the title track of their new album yesterday, and you can watch that below too.

Opening this leg of the tour is Queens of the Stone Age/Last Shadow Puppets-related band Mini Mansions (who Alex Turner has collaborated with). They also played a small headlining show at Mercury Lounge last night, and you can check out pictures from that, along with openers Nation of Language, in the gallery below. They’re releasing a new EP, Works Every Time, on September 28, and you can stream the title track below.
