You may remember that Greensboro, NC band Ashrae Fax had their 2003 full-length, Static Crash (originally just a CD-R), reissued by Mexican Summer last year and saw the band reform for some shows. Bolstered by the positive reactions around the reissue, Ashrae Fax are fully back in business and will release their new album, Never Really Been Into It, this week via Mexican Summer. A mix of half-finished ideas from their original incarnation and all-new material, the album stays within their lush spiderweb sound which owes much to '80s-era 4AD. If you like Cocteau Twins, This Mortal Coil, Colourbox, Dif Juz and the like, this album is like pearly dewdrops from Heaven (or Las Vegas).
