At the Drive-In cancelled DC last night, playing NYC Friday; Gone Is Gone cancel NYC/DC shows, have a new song
UPDATE: NYC ATDI show cancelled too.
At the Drive-In are on their reunion tour now (without Jim Ward), and they unfortunately had to cancel last night’s (6/15) DC show at the 9:30 Club. The band wrote, “Cedric has been fighting off a cold and has now lost his voice making it impossible for us to play for you tonight.”
The band’s next scheduled stop is NYC’s Terminal 5 on Friday (6/17). Let’s hope Cedric is better for that show! The show is sold out, and Le Butcherettes open. Updated dates are listed below. Check out more pictures from their recent Chicago show in the gallery above.
In related news, Gone Is Gone — the new supergroup featuring ATDI drummer Tony Hajjar, Mastodon’s Troy Sanders, and QOTSA’s Troy Van Leeuwen — have cancelled both NYC dates and the DC date of their July tour. (It appears that LA is still on.) That would’ve included shows on July 11 at Bowery Ballroom and July 13 at Saint Vitus. Bummer!
In more positive Gone Is Gone news, they released a third song off their upcoming debut EP. It’s called “Stolen From Me,” and this one’s pretty in line with recent Mastodon material. Check it out below.
