At the Drive In just canceled Terminal 5 show — doors were already open
A mere two hours before they were to take the stage, At the Drive In just canceled their show at NYC's Terminal 5. They had already let some people in to the Manhattan venue. Then they held the doors. For those inside, Omar Rodríguez-López came on stage to make the announcement that Cedric is sick. Needless to say, some of the crowd wasn't happy. Video of that is below.
ATDI canceled their DC show this past Wednesday for the same reason. They obviously really wanted NYC to happen if they held out canceling NYC until such a late hour. Major bummer! Stay tuned for any make-up news.
UPDATE: The band has issued the following statement:
Apologies to all our fans in NYC that were coming to our show. Cedric has a health concern with his vocal chords and can't perform this evening. It is not possible to play without furthering his injury.
Thank you for your support!
ATDI has a goal to be a band for a very long time and we don't want to impede that in any way.
We will be back!
