Australia's Julia Jacklin releasing 'Don't Let The Kids Win,' playing SXSW (listen)

Australian singer/songwriter Julia Jacklin has been putting out songs for a few years now, and many of those are set to appear on her upcoming debut album, Don’t Let The Kids Win. She makes quiet bare-bones folk, and her voice is easily powerful enough to silence a room while she’s playing. If you’re into Angel Olsen, or the kind of ’60s/’70s folk that Angel also pulls from, you’re probably gonna dig Julia too. Today she released the first official single from the album, “Pool Party.” Watch the video for that, plus live sessions of “LA Dream,” “Mother Land,” Santafel” and “Patience,” below.

She’s also touring, including a number of shows at SXSW. All dates are listed below.
