Avey Tare announces tour; new album 'Eucalyptus' out now

Animal Collective’s Avey Tare released his latest solo album Eucalyptus last week. It was recorded by his AnCo bandmate Deakin, and his Slasher Flicks bandmate Angel Deradoorian plays on it too. It also features orchestration by Eyvind Kang and contributions from Kang collaborator Jessika Kenney. It’s also a visual album, with visuals by Avey Tare’s frequent collaborator (and sister) Abby Portner. You can watch the visual album on Avey’s website and stream the album via Spotify below.

Avey has also announced a fall tour in support of the album which includes a NYC show on October 23 at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (7/28) at noon and there’s a presale for the whole tour starting today (7/25) at noon. PASSWORD = SEASONHIGH. All dates are listed below.

Before Avey’s tour starts, Animal Collective have some shows with Fleet Foxes.
