B Boys prep 'Dada,' share "Energy" video, touring with Merchandise
Brooklyn’s B Boys will release their new album, Dada, on June 16 via Captured Tracks. The band’s love of late-’70s Wire remains unabated as you can hear on first single “Energy” (listen below) and the cover art owes more than a little to the design of Wire’s 1979 LP 154. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, mind you, and they do it well. Watch the video for “Energy” below.
B Boys will be on tour with Merchandise later this year (no NYC show) but have two Brooklyn shows before that: playing with UV-TV on April 14 at Union Pool along with Bonny Doon and Bodega (tickets); and then a tour kickoff show on May 20 at Union Temple of Brooklyn with Future Punx and Dion Kerr.
The release party is one of two upcoming shows at the temple presented by Murmrr (the venue will be dubbed Murmrr Ballroom those nights). Tickets for that one are $10, and will be available via murmrr.com (or at the door we assume). All dates are listed below.
