BADBADNOTGOOD no longer on Herbie Hancock's BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! show

UPDATE (7/20): Due to unforeseen circumstances, BADBADNOTGOOD have had to drop off this show and have been replaced by Jamie Lidell.

Canadian jazz / hip hop quartet BADBANDNOTGOOD— known for its collaborations with Tyler, The Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Danny Brown, Frank Ocean, Future Islands and Ghostface Killah— will be joining the lineup for the August 11 concert at the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival, opening for  Herbie HancockTickets, which benefit BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, are on sale now.

 

Hancock will be playing with his new band that features Terrace Martin (who has worked with Kendrick Lamar), keyboards and saxophones; Lionel Loueke, guitar; Trevor Lawrence, Jr., drums; and James Genus, bass. Robert Glasper Experiment will perform as well.

Celebrate Brooklyn! kicks off its 2016 series tonight (6/8) with a free show from Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings. Cross your fingers for good weather. You can see the full Celebrate Brooklyn line-up here.

You can also catch BADBADNOTGOOD on Thursday (6/9) at House of Vans, where they’ll play with DIIV, Sunflower Bean, and The Paranoyds. That show, which is also part of Northside Fest, is free but RSVP is now closed. BADBADNOTGOOD will release their guest-filled new LP on July 8.
