Bananarama’s original lineup touring for first time ever, including North America
Bananarama in their original lineup of Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey and Keren Woodward produced some of the more buoyant pop of the mid-'80s, including great singles like "He Was Really Saying Something," "Shy Boy," "Cruel Summer," and "Robert DeNiro's Waiting." Their terrific debut album, Deep Sea Skiving, features post-Specials band Fun Boy Three, a song written by Paul Weller and production by Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook. The original line never toured, however, as Siobhan left the group in 1989. Sara and Keren have continued making music as Bananarama pretty much ever since.
Sara and Keren rekindled their friendship with Siobhan in 2015, and now the original lineup are touring for the first time ever, starting with UK dates this fall, and they'll play NYC, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Toronto in February 2018. The NYC show happens at PlayStation Theatre on 2/24 and tickets go on sale Friday, October 13 at 10 AM with various presales starting on Wednesday (10/11) at 10 AM.
