Bandcamp to waive its cut of profits on first Fridays of May, June & July

Back on Friday, March 20, Bandcamp waived their cut of the profits from sales on downloads, LP/CD sales and other merch, and gave it to the artists who are unable to make money via touring during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It was a big success, with around $4.3 million spent on Bandcamp that day (15 times a normal Friday), and we mentioned that they’d be doing it again this Friday (May 1). Now Bandcamp have announced that, in fact, they’ll be doing it the first Friday for the next three months: May 1, June 5 and July 3 from midnight to midnight, Pacific time. Here’s more:
