Basement played Gramercy Theatre with Adventures, LVL UP and Palehound (pics), add tour dates with Turnover

Basement / Adventures / LVL UP / Palehound @ Gramercy – 8/17/15
UK rockers Basement recently wrapped up a tour with Adventures, LVL UP and Palehound, which hit NYC on Monday (8/17) at Gramercy Theatre. Like they’d been doing on this tour, they gave us a good mix of both full lengths and a couple off last year’s EP too. Pictures of that show are in this post.
It was only their third NYC show ever, as the band didn’t make their way over here much at first and they were on a brief hiatus from 2012-2014. They definitely seem to like it over here though — they already announced a return trip for the fall. It’s with their jangle pop Run for Cover labelmates Turnover, and pop punk band The Story So Far is headlining. This one doesn’t hit NYC, but it will be nearby for shows at NJ’s Starland Ballroom on November 7 and Long Island’s Emporium on November 8. Tickets for NJ and LI go on sale today (8/21) at noon. All dates are listed below.
Meanwhile, Turnover have other dates, including NYC this Saturday (8/22) at LPR with TWIABP and Pianos Become the Teeth (tickets) and October 1 at Gramercy Theatre with Lydia (tickets).
In more related news, both Palehound and LVL UP play the Exploding In Sound extended weekend of shows this weekend. LVL UP are on one of the Brooklyn shows: tonight (8/21) at Palisades with Krill, Big Ups, Stove (ex-Ovlov) and Palm (tickets). Palehound play the Boston show the next day.
