BBC's Sound of 2017 longlist revealed

The BBC Sound of 2017 longlist has been revealed. The list — which was put together by 170 UK and International tastemakers selected by the BBC and aims to “[showcase] the most exciting rising stars” — includes Anderson .Paak, who, at least in America, has already had a pretty major breakthrough. BBC News points out that “building on the success of grime acts Stormzy, Kano and Skepta,” British hip hop dominates the list. They say “newcomers like Ray Blk and [Stormzy’s cousin] Nadia Rose are being tipped for success in the BBC’s annual list.” Check out the full list below.

2016’s winner was Jack Garratt.
