Beach House & Papercuts played United Palace and Kings Theatre (pics, setlist)

Beach House‘s tour supporting their new album 7 hit NYC this week with shows at two of the city’s most gorgeous rooms: United Palace on Wednesday (8/22) and King’s Theatre on Thursday (8/23). As usual, Victoria Legrand, Alex Scally and the rest of their band played mostly in silhouette against dramatic lighting and projected visuals. Setlists between the two NYC shows only varied by one song: United Palace got “Pay No Mind” from 7 while Kings Theatre got that album’s “Woo”, in addition to six other new ones including “Lemon Glow,” “Drunk in L.A.” and “Wild.” Their sets included older favorites like “Lazuli,” “Myth” and “Silver Soul.” Check out the setlists below and pictures from the whole night at Kings Theatre are in the gallery above..

Opening both shows were old friends and onetime Sub Pop labelmates Papercuts, who have a new album which will be released by Slumberland in October.
