Belle & Sebastian & friends @ Celebrate Brooklyn – 7/15/2013

Belle & Sebastian just wrapped up their tour with Yo La Tengo, which hit NYC last Thursday (7/11) for a very enjoyable show at Prospect Park which was a fundraiser for Celebrate Brooklyn! We already ran one set of pictures and here’s another — including shots of the onstage dance-a-thon that happened during “The Boy with the Arab Strap” — in this post.

While no word on a brand new B&S album, the Scottish group will be releasing an odds-and-ends compilation, titlted The Third Eye Centre on August 27. It collects b-sides, non-LP tracks and remixes from the last ten years. Think of it as a companion to essential 2005 comp Push Barman to Open Old Wounds. It’s available as a gatefold double-LP or hardbound book CD. Check out the cover art, tracklist and a stream of the Miaow Miaow remix of “Your Cover’s Blown,” below.

Belle & Sebastian have a few more U.S. shows to go — they play ACL Live in Austin tonight (7/16) and will wrap things up at this weekend’s Pitchfork Festival in Chicago. All upcoming tour dates and more pictures from their Prospect Park show below…
