A while back we posted about Turntable Kitchen’s Sounds Delicious series, a new vinyl subscription service that would feature artists covering an album they love in full. Details have been announced for the initial release schedule, which begins in 2017, and among them is Death Cab for Cutie’s Ben Gibbard who will cover Teenage Fanclub’s Bandwagonesque. Says Ben, “Bandwagonesque is my favorite record by my favorite band of all time. It came along at a pivotal time in my musical life and I’ve loved it for over 25 years. It’s been such a blast taking these songs apart to see how they work and then putting them back together again.”

The other announced releases in the series:

  • Yumi Zouma covering Oasis’ (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?
  • The Pains of Being Pure at Heart with Kristin Kontrol & members of Titus Andronicus covering Tom Petty’s Full Moon Fever
  • Jonathan Rado (Foxygen) covering Bruce Springsteen’s Born To Run
  • Ava Luna covering Serge Gainsbourg’s Histoire de Melody Nelson
A special collaboration featuring Local Natives, Chris Chu (POP ETC), Evan Voytas, Andy Breihan (Guards/SACCO), and other TBA special guests covering Dennis Wilson’s Pacific Ocean Blue

More 2017 titles will be announced soon and subscriptions preorders are available now, including a “delicious” version that pairs the LPs with food.
