Big Freedia in new Soul Rebels video, touring, playing NYC w/ Mykki Blanco
New Orleans bounce queen Big Freedia is on the just-released new Soul Rebels single “Good Time” (and in the video), and she also announced the “Azz Across America” tour which features Low Cut Connie on most dates. “Fans better be ready for some wild shit,” says Freedia. “We are going to shake our asses off.”
The tour includes two NYC shows that aren’t with Low Cut Connie but instead include local rapper Mykki Blanco, and that’s an awesome double bill. They play Brooklyn Bowl on Halloween and November 1. The new Soul Rebels song will appear on their new album Poetry in Motion, which comes out October 25 and also features Robert Glasper, Tarriona “Tank” Ball, Branford Marsalis, Matisyahu, PJ Morton, and Trombone Shorty.
