Big K.R.I.T. releasing 'K.R.I.T. Iz Here,' announces tour (stream a new song)

Back in 2010, Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T. had a big breakthrough with his mixtape K.R.I.T. Wuz Here, and now he’s releasing a studio album sequel to that mixtape, titled K.R.I.T. Iz Here, on July 12. It’s his first studio album since 2017’s excellent 4eva Is a Mighty Long Time, and it also follows his three 2018 EPs. The first single is “K.R.I.T. Here,” which sees K.R.I.T. rapping in a typically boisterous mode over a pitched-up soul sample, uplifting horns, and busy drums. Check it out below.

K.R.I.T. will support the album on the “From The South With Love Tour,” which begins in Tampa this September and treks all across North America for the next two months before wrapping up in Atlanta in November.

In between, there’s a NYC show on November 5 at Webster Hall. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (6/14) and an artist presale for the whole tour starts Tuesday (6/11) at 10 AM local time. PASSWORD = multialumni. All dates are listed on the tour poster below.
