Big Thief celebrated new LP w/ 2 Northside shows (pics from Park Church Co-Op)
Brooklyn’s Big Thief had a big weekend with the release of their much-lauded new album, Capacity, and two release shows that were part of Northside Fest in their hometown. On Friday (6/10) they played the album in full at Rough Trade to a packed house of vocal fans, and on Saturday (6/10) they performed at the more austere (yet sweatier) Park Church Co-Op. Big Thief’s next NYC show will be when their tour with Conor Oberst hits the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival on July 20 in Prospect Park with Hop Along. Tickets for the Prospect Park show are still available, and we’re also giving away a pair. Updated Big Thief tour dates are listed below.
The Park Church Co-Op was home to some of the more talked about Northside shows: Aldous Harding played BrooklynVegan’s showcase there on Thursday, and Kristin Kontrol played Friday.
