One of the many tours affected by the coronavirus pandemic was Bikini Kill's reunion tour -- which will be their first lengthy tour since last year's select reunion dates in NYC, LA, Chicago, and London, and which we included in our list of 14 rare tours that hopefully still happen -- and good news: Bikini Kill have now rescheduled the tour for August through December. (Hopefully everything is back to normal by then!!) Via press release:

As the world eagerly looks forward to a less complicated time, the band has announced their rescheduled March, April, and May 2020 shows to later this year. [...] For any questions regarding purchased tickets, ticket holders can contact their local venue.

The rescheduled run will see the band back in Olympia, WA, where they first started, for two benefit concerts (October 26-27) for Interfaith Works Nightly Shelter, a local non-profit acting as the only shelter/homeless services program that explicitly prioritizes women and LGBT single adults in the Olympia community.

The first date will be their Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival show on August 4 in Prospect Park (tickets). All dates -- including shows with Alice Bag, Princess Nokia, Lithics, and more -- are listed below.

Bikini Kill were one of the many bands/artists to sign an open letter to state and federal lawmakers asking that they expand unemployment benefits to include musicians in coronavirus relief packages.

We also recently included Bikini Kill's 1996 Yale show in our daily roundups of live videos we love that you can watch at home while every show is cancelled. Here's that video again:
