Scottish folk punk Billy Liar is releasing his new album Some Legacy on June 21 via Red Scare Industries (pre-order), and we're premiering the new song "Pills." It's a jangly, acoustic-meets-electric punk ripper that should appeal to fans of anything from The Menzingers to Frank Turner to classic '70s punk, and here's what Billy tells us about it:

The Western world is fully strapped in and dosed up. It can’t help but feel like a con when the doctors prescribe addictive medication for any ailment. It all looks a little fucked from over here, with the pharmaceutical companies getting into bed with the governments. It’s hard not to sometimes think that it’s in someone else’s best interest that we are jaded, depressed and medicated. But what do I know? Stop asking so many questions. What are you, a cop?
