The new nonprofit, multi-arts center The Shed has been scheduled to open in Manhattan in spring 2019 for a while, and now the first event for The Shed's inaugural season has been announced. Bjork will come to the new venue for the world premiere of Cornucopia, "a new concert production conceived and performed by Björk and directed by John Tiffany." Bjork will be joined on stage by "seven-piece female Icelandic flute ensemble" Viibra.

Bjork herself said: "I am very excited to announce that i will be part of The Shed’s opening season in manhattan next spring. this winter i will prepare my most elaborate stage concert yet, where the acoustic and digital will shake hands, encouraged by a bespoke team of collaborators."

The Shed Artistic Director and CEO Alex Poots added, "This is Bjork’s first-ever production created with theatrical collaborators. We are honored and excited to be producing this new work at The Shed."

The Cornucopia performance will take place in the Shed's largest space, The McCourt. Exact date for that performance (and for The Shed's opening) TBA. Ticket info will be revealed "later this year."
