Bjork speaking at Murmrr Theatre after new album comes out

Happy birthday to Bjork! The singer turns 52 today, three days ahead of the release of her highly anticipated new album, Utopia. The following week, Bjork will be interviewed for Pitchfork’s “In Sight Out” series, taking place November 28 at Murmrr Theatre (17 Eastern Pkwy in Brooklyn). Tickets are on sale now.

Bjork was also recently interviewed for the BBC, where, among other things, she professed her love for Rihanna. She also shouted out serpentwithfeet, Kelela and past collaborator ANOHNI, and talked about how she loves collaborating with other artists. Speaking about Arca, who worked on her upcoming album and her last album Vulnicura, she said: “Personally I’d discovered an incredible musician of the highest degree. I felt really blessed and spoiled that he was up for doing stuff with me.”

Two singles are out from Bjork’s upcoming album, “Blissing Me” and “The Gate.” Listen to both below.
