Yo La Tengo continued their Hanukkah 2019 celebration on Monday night (12/3) at Bowery Ballroom. Blind Boys from Alabama were Night 2's opener, and they joined Yo La Tengo for a few songs during their set, including a cover of The Velvet Underground's "Jesus." For the encore, they brought out The Mekons' Jon Langford for a cover of Bob Dylan's "The Girl from North Country" and then two Mekons songs ("Where Were You" and "Hard To Be Human Again"). Yo La Tengo's set also included "Ohm," which both started and ended their main set," plus "False Alarm," "Beanbag Chair," a cover of The Minutemen's version of Van Halen's "Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love" and more.

Roy Wood Jr. was the night's comedian, Perfume Genius made the Night 2 mix CD, and proceeds benefited the Committee to Protect Journalists. Check out pictures from the night in the gallery above and the setlist, courtesy Jesse Jarnow's Frank & Earthy blog, is below.

Night 1 had Sun Ra Arkestra, Graham Nash and more. Who will be Night 3's special guests? Yo La Tengo released more tickets for most of the Bowery Run on Sunday, but all the shows are once again sold out.
