blink-182 played 'Good Morning America,' revealed album release date

blink-182 came to NYC today to perform on Good Morning America in Central Park this morning, and they played recent single “Blame It On My Youth” as well as the classics “What’s My Age Again?” and “I Miss You” and a couple from 2016’s California. They also revealed in an interview on the show that their new album will be out September 20. Title is still TBA but so far they’ve released three songs from it: the aforementioned “Blame It On My Youth,” “Happy Days,” and “Generational Divide.” Travis Barker also talked about working with Lil Nas X during the interview. Watch videos of their GMA performance and the interview below.

As also mentioned during that interview, the band is currently on tour with Lil Wayne (who is not quitting the tour), and they’re playing their mainstream breakthrough Enema of the State in full for its 20th anniversary, plus other songs. We caught them playing the classic LP at Warped Tour in Atlantic City, and they sounded great. They’ll be back in NYC for a show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on 9/20, and they’re also playing Chicago’s Riot Fest and more.

In related news, The FADER recently interviewed Travis Barker for the feature “How Blink-182’s Travis Barker became rap’s favorite drummer.” And if you’re curious, someone re-imagined Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy” as a blink-182 song.
