Blis. share new song, touring with Weakened Friends

Grungy Atlanta rockers Blis. released their very solid debut album No One Loves You on Sargent House back in 2017, and they’ve now followed it with their first new single in two years, “Bad Weather.” The new song finds them more in calmer, indie/slacker rock territory than the songs on their debut, but still with plenty of fuzz and energy. It comes with a video that very much matches the ’90s vibes of the song (shot by Matt Foster and edited by Zak Washburn), and you can check it out below.

The band also announced a tour with another ’90s-inspired indie rock band, Weakened Friends, leading up to both bands’ appearances at Gainesville’s The Fest.

The tour includes a Brooklyn show on October 17 at The Kingsland with Hit Like A Girl (tickets), and there are also stops in Allston, New Haven, Asbury Park, Philly, DC, and more. All dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, Weakened Friends — who impressed us at SXSW — released their debut album Common Blah on Don Giovanni last year (including a song featuring J Mascis) and they recently said they were in the studio “cooking up some special stuff,” so maybe more music is on the way. They also have other US dates before the tour with Blis., including shows with Dave Hause and Guster. All of their dates are listed below too.
