Blood Orange announces North American tour, teased more new music

Blood Orange has never been much for touring, usually just playing select festival appearances and shows, but Dev Hynes and his band will be on the road in September for what might be his most extensive tour since the first album. Dates include the already announced NYC Central Park Summerstage show on 9/26 (tickets) and he’ll also play Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, Oakland, Los Angeles (Greek Theatre on 9/21), Philly, DC and Toronto. Dev also says that more dates will be announced soon. Tickets for those just announced shows go on sale Friday, April 27.

Blood Orange also will play Pitchfork fests in Chicago and Paris, Osheaga in Montreal, the just-announced Life is Beautiful festival in Vegas, and a solo show for FORM Arcosanti. All dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, Dev Hynes has been teasing new music, and was on Instagram Live on Monday night (4/23) where, according to Redditors, he said he has a “mixtape, album, and 8 singles ready to release,” and played some of the mixtape during his live stream. Stay tuned.
