Blues Magoos playing NYC show at The Bowery Electric

Blues Magoos

Bronx psych/garage rockers Blues Magoos were initially around in the late ’60s through 1970 for a short career that produced their influential debut album, Psychedelic Lollipop, which featured the popular single “(We Ain’t Got) Nothin’ Yet” and their version of “Tobacco Road,” which later appeared on the first Nuggets compilation. Psychedelic Lollipop era singer/organist Ralph Scala, guitarist Peppy Castro and drummer Geoff Daking reformed the band in 2008 (with new members Mike Ciliberto and Peter Stuart Kohlman), and they’ve still been kicking since then with talks of new music too.

There’s no touring plans announced at the moment, but the New York-based band have a hometown show coming up on October 16 at Bowery Electric with The Cynz. Tickets for that show are on sale now.
