Bob Dylan musical 'Girl From the North Country' coming to NYC

Girl From the North Country, a musical featuring the songs of Bob Dylan, makes its American premiere in NYC in September, at Public Theater’s Newman Theater. The Conor McPherson-written and directed show ran for three months at The Old Vic in London starting in July of 2017, and transferred to London’s West End for another twelve weeks in December of 2017.

Set in 1934 in Dylan’s hometown of Duluth, Minnesota, Girl From the North Country includes nineteen songs from throughout his discography, including “License to Kill,” “I Want You,” “Like a Rolling Stone,” “Idiot Wind,” and the song that shares its name with the title, “Girl From the North Country.” See the full song list here, and watch the trailer for the London production below.

The Public Theater production will feature a new American cast and runs from September 11-November 4, 2018. Partner and public supporter tickets go on sale Tuesday, June 26 at 11 AM, and member tickets go on sale Thursday, June 28, also at 11 AM.
