Bob Dylan is opening his own whiskey distillery and music venue in Nashville called Heaven’s Door Distillery and Center for the Arts. Tied to the 50th anniversary of Bob's album Nashville Skyline, Heaven's Door will also include a restaurant, a whiskey library and will display Bob's artwork and metal sculptures, while the performance room has a capacity of 360. It's all part of the renovation project to the 160-year-old Elm Street Church in Downtown Nashville, and here's more from the press release:

“We’re thrilled to celebrate the anniversary of “Nashville Skyline” with our own addition to Music City’s skyline”, said Marc Bushala, CEO of Heaven’s Door Spirits. “Nashville is the natural home for the Heaven’s Door distillery and the Elm Street Church is a fitting home for Dylan’s visual artwork. We spent years looking for a property that truly captures the essence of the Heaven’s Door brand, and when we finally found the deconsecrated church in SoBro, we immediately knew that it would be the perfect physical and spiritual center for the brand, and Bob’s art.”

Look for Heaven's Door to open in 2020. Heaven's Door Spirits have been available for about a year.

In other news, you can usually find Bob Dylan records among the Record Store Day exclusives every year, and 2019 is no exception. They're releasing Blood On The Tracks -- Original New York Test Pressing:

Months before Bob Dylan released Blood On The Tracks in early 1975, a small number of test pressings were circulated, consisting entirely of material from sessions at A&R Recording Studios in New York City. (Dylan re-recorded five of these tracks in Minneapolis for inclusion on the final album.) Those original records were soon bootlegged, and the alternate history of one of Dylan’s most acclaimed works was born. This LP is an exact duplicate of the test pressing, containing unique mixes from the New York session, available commercially for the first time.

They're printing up 7500 copies of this worldwide, which is pretty big for an RSD release, but expect it still to go really fast. Record Store Day is this Saturday, April 13.

In other news, Martin Scorsese's new Dylan documentary, Rolling Thunder, is due out later this year on Netflix. Bob is also on tour as we speak, playing Paris this week with European dates running through July. All dates are listed, along with a stream of Nashville Skyline, below.
