Brooklyn's Bodega have announced details of their debut album, Endless Scroll, which will be out via What's Yr Rupture on June 1. The album was produced by Parquet Courts' Austin Brown on the same Tascam 388 tape machine used for Light Up Gold, and mixed/mastered by Jonathan Schenke (Eaters). They've just shared "Can't Knock the Hustle" from the album in the form of colorful video directed by singer Nikki Belfiglio. The group's other frontperson, Ben Hozie, says the song was inspired by working in "an obnoxious soft serve shoppe in Union Square with this great Jamaican guy named Steven, who was an aspiring rapper" and a late-night discussion of Jay-Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail. The video is also ice cream themed and you can watch it below.

Having just gotten back from SXSW, Bodega have a couple local shows this month: Saturday (4/7) at Alphaville with Big Bliss, Deadbeat Beat, and Gustaf; and May 2 at Brooklyn Bazaar opening for No Age. Tickets for both those shows are on sale.

Right after the Alphaville show, Bodega will join Franz Ferdiand's tour for a few shows, starting with their April 8 show in Toronto, and hitting Boston, DC, Philadelphia and finally the 4/15 show at Brooklyn Steel (tickets). After that, Bodega head to the UK and Europe.
