Bongripper Terminal

Bongripper releasing new album, touring, playing 2010 LP in full in NYC

Chicago’s weed-loving doom greats Bongripper haven’t released an album since Miserable in 2014, the same year they finally played their first NYC show, but that’ll change this year with Terminal, their first album in four years and seventh overall. It’s due out July 6 via the band’s own Great Barrier Records, and it was recorded, mixed and mastered by Bongripper guitarist Dennis Pleckham. The album features just two songs, one called “Slow” and one called “Death.” No music is out from the LP yet. That’s the artwork above.

Bongripper are also doing their first proper East Coast tour in a decade, including a return to NYC. The NYC show is a special one which will see them performing 2010’s Satan Worshipping Doom in full for the first time in the US. The show happens July 25 at Saint Vitus. Tickets go on sale Friday (3/30) at noon. All dates are listed below.
