“Organizers promise the festival, now in its ninth year, will be bigger and better than ever before. More than 80,000 people are expected to attend this year’s event, the largest crowd since 2007.

The stages and tents have been set for the continuous concerts, but festival attendees will have tons of other things to do as well. Concert-goers can participate in water games, play sand volleyball and take yoga classes. Big-screen televisions will also be set up on the grounds to show events such as the FIFA World Cup and the NBA Finals.

“Because we’re a 24-hour event, we have a lot of time to entertain people with things other than music,” said festival promoter Rick Farman. “I really think that’s one of the things that makes Bonnaroo unique.”

Big-name artist such as Kings of Leon and Dave Matthews are expected to take the stage over the weekend, along with Jay-Z and NeedToBreathe.” [WSMV Nashville]
