BØRNS dropped from All Things Go Fall Classic following misconduct allegations
BØRNS was dropped from the All Things Go Fall Classic lineup following allegations of sexual misconduct against the him. The festival posted a notice to Facebook about the lineup change, saying, “BØRNS will no longer be performing at the 2018 All Things Go Fall Classic. We hope, in all years and especially this one, that the Fall Classic continues to be part of making the music world a better, more equal place. Please stay tuned for more scheduling updates and more announcements.”
Ravyn Lenae, OSHUN, Maggie Rogers, Billie Eilish, Carly Rae Jepsen, and others are scheduled to perform at the two-day festival, happening at Washington DC’s Union Market on October 6 and 7. Saturday’s lineup is made up of all female artists, and curated by Maggie Rogers and Lizzy Plapinger (LPX, MS MR, Neon Gold Records).
BØRNS, real name Garrett Clark Borns, posted to Instagram addressing the allegations, writing, “I am both hurt and angered over the disturbing and false allegations that have been spread over the past few days on social media. All of the relationships I have had were legal and consensual. They ended abruptly and that obviously caused hurt feelings, but for anyone to suggest anything beyond that is irresponsible.”
As Pitchfork reports, multiple twitter users posted accounts of their experiences with BØRNS, and many are collected in the account @exposing_borns. One woman, @alyssaadaniele, claims she experienced “4 years of manipulation and being taken advantage of” by BØRNS, and says he groomed her from the age of 16. Another, @kaliforxnia, describes an encounter where she says she “became drunk and was completely taken advantage of.” Read their accounts in full below.

I just wanted to clarify that I did not accuse him of r*pe, the sex was consensual, and happened when I was of age.
