Boston Calling announces 2018 lineup
It is Festival Announce Week, apparently. We got Coachella on Tuesday, and Governors Ball on Wednesday, and now here's the 2018 edition of Boston Calling which happens May 25-27 at Harvard Athletic Complex. Curated as always by Aaron Dessner (The National), this year is headlined by Eminem, The Killers and Jack White, and will also feature Queens of the Stone Age, The National, Paramore, Tyler the Creator, Khalid, Fleet Foxes, St. Vincent, The Decemberists, Brockhampton, Maggie Rodgers, Manchester Orchestra, Dirty Projectors, Thundercat, The Menzingers, Pussy Riot, Julien Baker, Alvvays, Oh Sees, Perfume Genius, Big Thief, and many more.
There is also a comedy/entertainment lineup that includes podcasts Pod Save America and Lovett or Leave It, plus sets from Jenny Slate, Bridget Everett, Jo Firestone, Max Silvestri and more. Natalie Portman has also been tapped to host and curate "a series of special programming at this year’s festival." What are The Shins doing that weekend? You can check out the full lineup listed below.
Early Bird Tickets are on sale now.
Eminem will also play headlining sets at Coachella and Governors Ball (where Jack White is headlining too). Unlike GovBall and Coachella, the Belly playing Boston Calling is the '90s alt-rock band who call Boston home (and not the rapper).
