Janelle Monae

The 2016 Boston Calling festival began on Friday, continued on Saturday, and then finally wrapped up on Sunday (5/29). Sunday quite possibly had the most stacked, diverse lineup of the three days, with pop boundary-pushers Christine and the Queens, neo-psych band Unknown Mortal Orchestra, the great young Long Beach rapper Vince Staples, soul true believer Charles Bradley, folky pop punks The Front Bottom, R&B shapeshifter Janelle Monae, pop rockers Haim, hit-making electronic duo Disclosure, and more.

Like on Saturday, the smaller Verizon stage had comedy and music from local bands These Wild Plains and Black Beach. Pictures continue in the gallery below.
