Peter Murphy just wrapped up his "Stripped" tour, which hit NYC on Sunday (12/11) with two shows at City Winery, where you could eat dinner and sip wine while hearing "Bela Legosi's Dead" in semi-acoustic form (pics from that show are in the above gallery).

Food was apparently an issue, however, at Murphy's Boston-area show which happened Friday (12/9) at Middle East in Cambridge where, according to The Boston Globe, the former Bauhaus frontman took issue with a bouncer eating a hamburger and fries near the stage. The Globe reports that Murphy confronted the bouncer and then told the crowd that he would not continue the show until he was removed. The bouncer was indeed removed and Middle East told the Globe that he'd been since fired and that a second bouncer there that night had been suspended.

Cambridge massage therapist and longtime Murphy fan Emily Taylor told the Globe that the singer "might have been a little grumpy already."
