Bouncing Souls, Brian Fallon (Gaslight Anthem) & Aye Nako playing BrooklynVegan-curated Red Bull Sound Select show

Bouncing Souls at Highline Ballroom in 2011 (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)
Bouncing Souls

We’re happy to announce that the next BrooklynVegan-curated installment of the Red Bull Sound Select series happens on September 30 at Music Hall of Williamsburg, and it’s being co-headlined by New Brunswick punk forefathers The Bouncing Souls and Gaslight Anthem frontman Brian Fallon (who co-curated the show with us). Brian and the Souls will also be collaborating together on stage (for the first time ever), in addition to playing their own sets. We got together with Brian not only to pick the co-headliners (the Bouncing Souls who were a large influence on his New Brunswick band), but also to choose the openers. Like all RBSS, the openers are local, and for this one we got Brooklyn scrappy pop punks Aye Nako, and there’s one more band TBA.

Doors for the MHOW show open at 6:30 PM and the music starts at 8. Like all RBSS shows, admission is $3 at the door. First come, first served. Hope to see you there.

Aye Nako at BV Lollapalooza Afterparty last week (more by Cory Dewald)
Aye Nako

Aye Nako, who also just played a BV-presented Lollapalooza afterparty, have other upcoming shows too. Their recently released debut album, Unleash Yourself, is a real standout and highly recommended.

The Gaslight Anthem recently played three nights in NYC. If you missed them, check out pictures of Irving and pictures of Pier 26. Brian also just announced that he’ll be producing the new album by Sweden’s Twopointeight, who The Gaslight Anthem have toured Europe with. The new album, Twopointeight III, is tentatively due out in 2014.

And, this month’s NYC Red Bull Sound Select show happens on 8/13 with The Internet, Dyme-A-Duzin, Jade <3, and Denitia & Sene. Some song streams and videos below...
