Brand New post a new LP5 teaser, promising another single this summer

Brand New recently released their excellent new single “I Am A Nightmare,” and now more details on their long-awaited fifth album have emerged. Chorus.fm points out that Brand New’s label Procrasinate! Music Traitors have sent out another of their succinct press releases that reveals “I Am A Nightmare” will appear on the “forthcoming Brand New (artist) LP” and that there will be an “additional song from aforementioned album scheduled for release” in “summer 2016.” They also a mention a limited edition t-shirt with the “I Am A Nightmare” artwork will go on sale today (5/23) at 5 PM. Brand New will tour Canada with mewithoutYou and Greater Pyrenees ahead of their co-headlining US tour with Modest Mouse. They’re also playing Riot Fest Chicago, which their hero Morrissey may or may not also be playing. All dates are listed below.

If you still haven’t heard “I Am A Nightmare,” it’s a good sign that this album is gonna be worth the wait. It’s catchy like Deja, rawer like Daisy, but it doesn’t really sound like it’d fit on either of those albums (or on their other two). Listen below.
