Breakdown, Maximum Penalty playing Dr. Know Benefit in Tompkins Square Park
As discussed, legendary Bad Brains guitarist Dr. Know had a scary bout with cardiac arrest last year. He’s thankfully recovering, but there are still a ton of medical bills to be dealt with. In addition to a Gofundme page, which has raised over $60,000 at this point, a benefit show with some good hardcore bands has been announced to provide additional support.
Two NYHC vets, Maximum Penalty and Breakdown, will be playing a benefit in Tompkins Square Park on July 23. More details, such as ticket info and set times and even more bands, are TBA. Stay tuned.
