Breaking Bad

'Breaking Bad' cast reuniting for 10th anniversary at 2018 San Diego Comic-Con

Breaking Bad officially turns 10 years old this year, and in celebration, the show’s main cast will be reuniting at the 2018 San Diego Comic-Con. According to Entertainment Weekly, cast members Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, Anna Gunn, Bob Odenkirk, Giancarlo Esposito, Betsy Brandt, Jonathan Banks, and RJ Mitte will join the show’s creator Vince Gilligan for a special Q&A about the show’s legacy. The cast also recently did a reunion cover story for EW‘s print edition. Here’s an excerpt from the piece:

“I love these people,” [Aaron] Paul tells EW. “I feel blessed to have shared this incredible experience that is Breaking Bad with each and every one of these people. I remember when we were shooting the first season, Dean and I were talking, he goes, ‘You know, in ten years, we’re going to look back and say, ‘Goddammit! I used to be a part of Breaking Bad!’ And now it’s crazy that 10 years has passed, and I am still constantly thinking that. It’s like, wow, how lucky we all are.”

EW also reports that a vinyl LP with highlights from Dave Porter‘s score, including a new 10th anniversary remix of the Breaking Bad theme, will be available exclusively at SDCC, and there will be an official Breaking Bad Spotify Playlist on July 18.

In related news, the very good Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul is set to air its fourth season premiere on August 6 on AMC, and Vince Gilligan has strongly hinted towards a Walter White/Jesse Pinkman cameo in the show’s future. In the EW piece, Gilligan says he “desperately” wants to include the two characters within Saul, but added it needs to be done organically:

It wouldn’t feel as satisfying if it was just a cameo or an Alfred Hitchcock walkthrough. I think we’ve waited long enough. We damn well better have a good reason for them to show up. I just hope we figure it out because I’ve got to hear, ‘Yeah, bitch!’ one more time.
