BRIC House 2019 season (Talib Kweli, Y La Bamba, Donny McCaslin, Habibi, more)

The spring 2019 season of the BRIC House Sessions concert series has been announced. It's part of BRIC's 40th anniversary celebration, and it goes down Thursday evenings from February to April at the Downtown Brooklyn venue.

There's some interesting lined up, including a Valentine's Day show from hometown hero Talib Kweli on opening night (2/14) with NIKO IS, Bowie collaborator Donny McCaslin and his band on 3/28, Portland's "eclectic indie folk pop" band Y La Bamba with Brooklyn indie pop band Habibi on closing night (4/11), blues artist Son Little on 2/28, "Jordanian Palestinian Electro Arabic Dabke" band 47SOUL with Brooklyn afrobeat group Underground System on 3/7, and Canadian-Mexican Latin hip hop artist Boogát with Nomadic Massive's Waahli on 2/21.

Brooklyn's DJ Bembona and Freddy DeBoe will be resident DJs throughout the series. Tickets are on sale now. Full schedule and more info below.
