Bright Eyes

Bright Eyes postpone reunion tour

We’ve been eagerly anticipating the reunited Bright Eyesfirst tour since 2011, which was to kick off in May and continue through the summer and fall. Of course, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has cancelled or postponed all live music events for now into the foreseeable future, and that includes Bright Eyes’ upcoming dates, too. All of their scheduled May dates, including Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Spokane, Boise, and Sonoma have been cancelled, as well as a few of their June dates, in Lafayette and Lewiston NY and Burlington VT. Their other East Coast June dates, in Queens, New Haven, Portland ME, Bethlehem PA, and Worcester, have been postponed, mostly until July of 2021, but a couple of the shows don’t have new dates yet. The Forest Hills Stadium Show on June 20, 2020 is now scheduled for the same venue on July 31, 2021, and Japanese Breakfast and Lucy Dacus are still on the bill as support.

See Bright Eyes’ new schedule, and read a message from the band, below.

Meanwhile, while we wait, we have Bright Eyes’ first new music since 2011 to keep us company. They’ve shared two singles so far from an upcoming, tba album for Dead Oceans, the bagpipe-featuring “Personal Non Grata” and “Forced Convalescence,” which has a choir, and Flea on bass. Listen to those below.

Thank you for your patience. Regretfully, yet predictably, we have had to re-think many of our upcoming tour dates. We hope to be in a better position to gather and celebrate at a later date. Details on all USA dates follow below. A European tour update will follow soon.

Existing tickets are valid for rescheduled and postponed dates. Refunds are available for all shows – cancelled or not. Refund policies on rescheduled and postponed shows vary but we can say for certain that refunds will be offered for at least 30 days. Please enquire at the point of purchase.

Take care of yourselves. Take care of each other. Hope to see you on the road.
